Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade's retirement tour has been truly been something special for NBA fans to behold, as the 37-year-old continues to dazzle with his abilities as a shot creator and flair for the dramatic.

On Saturday night, Wade poured in 11 fourth-quarter points (he had 20 for the game) to help the Heat defeat the Wizards in Washington and continue their playoff push. At times, Wade has been so effective that many wonder if he is actually retiring too soon.

Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra has been on the sideline for ten of Wade's seasons with the Heat, and he spoke to the media after the game about what has helped Wade find sustained success:

“I think that round ball, I think this game and I think this team is really keeping him young,” Spoelstra said of Wade. “You try to enjoy and savor every single moment of this Association and this ride that we're on. It's a pleasure to be a part of it.”

Wade is posting a per-36 line of 20-5-5, and his 48 percent Effective Field Goal percentage is his best mark since the 2014-15 season. The three-time NBA champion began last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but was traded back to Miami after nearly a year and half away from the club that drafted him in 2003.

The Heat are still clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, holding just a one game advantage over the Orlando Magic. Wade will retire as arguably the third-best shooting guard in NBA history, but he looks to have one more postseason run ahead of him.
