The Miami Heat suffered a disappointing 105-90 loss to a Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. This was Miami's second straight loss and their fourth in the last five games. At this point, it would be safe to say that the 14-11 Heat are in a bit of a slump.

Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra has spoken out about his team's recent struggles. According to the two-time NBA champion coach, there's nobody else to blame for their shortcomings but himself:

“I have to do a better job getting the team organized and getting the team comfortable, where the ball’s going, how we’re going to play offensively,” Spoelstra Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “I definitely have to do a better job.”

Spoelstra is definitely not the type to throw anyone under the bus, most especially his own players. He would much rather take the blame for his team's struggles than pinpoint an individual or individuals who have not been performing up to par. This, among other things, is what makes him one of the best coaches in the game today.

Things only get tougher from here on out, with the Heat set to host the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks in their next game on Wednesday. After that is a tough test against a surging Chicago Bulls side on Saturday. These are exactly the times that will put Miami's title credentials to the test.
