Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra believes shooting guard Dwyane Wade could play three-to-four more years in the NBA with his current role.

Wade is playing roughly 25 minutes per game for the Heat this season while coming off the bench.

Dwyane Wade is retiring from the NBA after this season, but that's not going to stop Erik Spoelstra from trying to convince the future Hall of Famer to come back for at least one more year.

In 56 games this season for the Heat, Wade is averaging 14.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists. The 13-time All-Star and three-time NBA champion is shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 32.1 percent from beyond the arc and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Wade has scored over 20 points this season 10 times. The Flash has also scored 35 points once this season, against the Toronto Raptors.

The Heat are 31-35 on the season, good for eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Everyone in the NBA is hoping Miami can make the playoffs so that Dwyane Wade gets to play in the postseason one last time.

Spoelstra said earlier in the season the team desperately wants to make the playoffs for Wade. Miami hosts the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. They are coming off a loss to the Raptors.
