A total of 12 teams passed on Devin Booker in the 2015 Draft, including Erik Spoelstra and the Miami Heat.

Booker fell into the laps of the Phoenix Suns and he's now one of the best players in the NBA.

The Heat, meanwhile, took Justise Winslow out of Duke with the 10th pick in 2015, but he's no longer on the team, as Miami sent him to the Memphis Grizzlies in the Andre Iguodala trade.

While speaking to reporters on Friday, Spoelstra spoke about how close the Heat were to drafting Booker in 2015 instead of Winslow.

Devin Booker has been the talk of the Orlando bubble after leading the Suns to a 4-0 start and hitting a difficult game-winning shot over Los Angeles Clippers superstar Paul George.

Phoenix still has some work to do to get the eighth seed out West, but Booker's scoring prowess has been on full display at Disney World and he has definitely established himself as an elite scorer in the NBA.

Fans can't really blame the Heat for drafting Winslow over Booker since they weren't the only team to pass on the electric scoring guard.

Draft scouts at the time were really high on Winslow due to his versatility, while Booker was sort of an unknown since he was playing on a stacked 2015 Kentucky team which had Karl-Anthony Towns, Aaron and Andrew Harrison, Willie Cauley-Stein and Trey Lyles.
