During his media session on Saturday, Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra talked about All-Star big man Bam Adebayo taking responsibility for the team's Game 5 loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday.

As expected, Spoelstra showered Adebayo with praise.

“I love Bam Adebayo and everything he stands for as a competitor,” Erik Spoelstra said of the Heat center, via Nick Friedell of ESPN.

“That's why I think he's developing into one of the great winners in this league. And that's much different than saying you're just one of the best players in this league. He is one of the best players, but he's going to become one of the best winners in this league — because it matters to him, he's willing to take responsibility. Of course it is not on him. It's on all of us including myself.”

Adebayo finished Game 5 with 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in 38 minutes while shooting 5-of-11 from the field. The Heat star said he was upset with his performance because he was missing easy shots at the rim and not “being the defensive anchor” that he should have been.

For what it's worth, Jimmy Butler said Adebayo was not at fault for the Game 5 loss. The Texas native was frustrated with his team's effort and stood up for Adebayo since the two are very close friends.

Miami hasn't lost two games in a row at Walt Disney World. With that being said, expect the Heat to come out firing on all cylinders in Game 6 to put the Celtics away early.
