As expected, Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic says small forward Jimmy Butler “was talking a lot” during Miami's first practice of the season on Tuesday.

Butler is one of the most vocal players in the league. The four-time All-Star is always going hard in practice, something Heat coaches love to see since it fits their culture.

“Jimmy brings intensity to this team,” Dragic said, via Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald. “He’s a great player, great teammate. He was talking a lot. For him, we’re going to have to develop team chemistry. I’m expecting a lot of things from him and from this team.”

Last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers, Jimmy Butler averaged 18.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 46.2 percent from the field, 34.7 percent from beyond the arc and 85.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Butler signed a four-year, $140.79 million contract with the Heat in July as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Sixers. For Miami to make the postseason in 2019-20, it will need Butler, Goran Dragic, Justise Winslow and Bam Adebayo to play at a high level every game.

The Heat and Butler have been trying to pair up for quite some time now. The fact that Miami was able to keep Dragic was a huge win for the franchise since they didn't have to look for a point guard after acquiring Butler.

In a contract year, you can expect Dragic to play well this season.
