According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Miami Heat's Goran Dragic will undergo knee surgery and is expected to miss two months. The Slovenian's right knee has been troubling him all season, forcing him to play just two games in the Heat's last fourteen games.

It's a tough blow for a Heat team still finding a long haul of consistency in terms of winning. Miami is currently sporting a 13-16 win-loss card, a disappointing start to the season.

During the games that Dragic did not play, head coach Erik Spoelstra has been experimenting a lot on the point guard position considering that they don't have another natural playmaker on the floor. Blossoming combo guard Josh Richardson has been tasked to play point in the starting lineup while All-Star veteran Dwyane Wade is fulfilling that role with the second unit.

Dragic, 32, has averages of 15.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game this season. His shooting efficiency has taken a dip this year as he is only putting up 31% from beyond the arc and overall rate of 41% from the field. Goran's name has been circulating in trade talks all season as the Heat are grooming Richardson for a playmaking role.

But Richardson still has tons of work to do before he completely develops into a point guard-caliber player, which means the Heat will be in need of someone to throw accurate passes on the fly. Justice Winslow is an underrated passer but his ball-handling is still shaky at times.
