The Miami Heat could be without two key starters when they visit the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena on Monday, with both Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic listed as questionable for the game.

According to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Hassan Whiteside has picked up a right knee injury that raised concerns about his availability against the Pistons. Meanwhile, Goran Dragic is still recovering from the right foot issue that forced him to sit out their latest game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Goran Dragic previously said that he's hopeful he wouldn't be missing any game because of the lingering pain on his foot, but it seems like the problem continues to bother him.

On the other hand, Hassan Whiteside has played and started in all of the Heat's eight games so far. However, he saw only 16 minutes of action against the Hawks the last time out, suggesting that he might have picked up his injury during the game.

Dragic is averaging 17.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game, while Whiteside is putting up 12.4 points and 14.6 boards on a nightly basis. Their absence will surely be a huge blow for the Heat, especially now that they are on a three-game losing skid.

Rodney McGruder started at point guard in place of Dragic versus the Hawks, and that could be the case again when they play the Pistons. Dwyane Wade and Tyler Johnson are also up for more minutes if the Slovenian star misses the match.

Kelly Olynyk and Bam Adebayo might also need to pick up the slack should Whiteside sit out the game.
