Reports of the Miami Heat organization potentially looking to part ways with estranged star center Hassan Whiteside have run rampant over the weekend, and it wouldn't take long for the North Carolina native to find them.

Whiteside was seen liking TheScore's Instagram post relating to the initial report by Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald that started it all.

It seems that both sides have come to a standstill, as president Pat Riley agreed with coach Erik Spoelstra's decision to sit Whiteside for most of the playoffs due to his poor fitness and mental aptitude.

Whiteside had complained to the media multiple times about his lack of minutes on the court, but it all became overbearing for the team when he did so at the end of the postseason after the Heat took a 4-1 series loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Reportedly, neither Riley nor Spoelstra see a way to fix his character, which has played the biggest factor in all of this.

The question is whether the Heat can get a decent value in return for the big man and if it makes sense to move him to pick up looses pieces or gain cap space to sign other impending free agents like Wayne Ellington.

Spoelstra has worked comfortably with a tandem of Kelly Olynyk and Bam Adebayo at center, who have gobbled most of the minutes Whiteside spent on the bench over the postseason.
