Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside is continuing to share some odd videos on his social media accounts, where he shows his love for his pet fish. Last week, he posted a clip of himself while giving them a pep talk and reminders on how to remain unharmed with Hurricane Irma about to hit Florida.

Just recently, the 28-year-old Marshall product was back it again. This time, he shared an update about the fish on his Instagram account, to let his followers know that they are all safe despite the devastation the hurricane left the Sunshine State.

It may seem like it’s not a good time for Whiteside to joke around, as he represents Miami, which is one of the biggest cities in Florida. However, he added in his caption that he is sending his thoughts and prayers to all those who lost their homes and are in need of help. It also included a shoutout to his friend who kept him updated him about Irma, which helped him stay dry and safe.

Like the Heat, Whiteside and his teammates are expected to do their part in helping as many residents in Florida as they can. The relief efforts in Houston have been great following Hurricane Harvery, and the South Beach team can pick up a thing or two from it in order to also be able to speed up the recovery in their own state.
