When Dwyane Wade came back to the Miami Heat after stints with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers, Hassan Whiteside almost couldn't believe it. Now that Wade is coming back for one last year in “Wade County,” Whiteside is just as excited as anyone.

In a video released Sunday evening, Wade announced that he will be coming back for one last season with the Heat. In his own Instagram post, Whiteside let his feelings known about Wade's decision:

Whiteside joined the Heat for the 2014-15 season, so he has played with Wade for part of three campaigns. Whiteside's most prolific season actually came when Wade was in Chicago, but it's clear the future Hall of Famer helped the center grow into a viable NBA player after a rocky start to his career.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra's plan for Wade will probably be for him to continue coming off the bench. But while Wade won't be starting for Miami, he will likely get plenty of time with the closing unit. Wade is known for his clutch play, and the Heat team will rely on his championship experience to close games out.

Wade ended his video by saying:

“Let’s have some joy through this last season. Let’s push this young team over the hump and let’s write our own story to the end of this career, together.”

Heat fans everywhere surely will cherish this last season from Wade as they give him a fitting farewell to his storied career, and Whiteside is excited to be along for the ride.
