Hassan Whiteside of the Miami Heat will still be out when his team faces the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.

Per Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, Whiteside, along with guard Dion Waiters will not play. Wayne Ellington is listed as probable, while Josh Richardson and Tyler Johnson are questionable.

It will be Hassan Whiteside's third-straight missed game due to the birth of his child. He didn't play in their 115-98 and 121-99 wins over the Phoenix Suns and the LA Clippers.

So far, Whiteside has started 22 games and is averaging 13.5 points on 52.3 percent shooting from the field, 13.7 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks in 26.9 minutes. Bam Adebayo and Kelly Olynyk will likely share minutes at the center spot in place of Whiteside.

The 29-year-old defensive stalwart has been the subject of trade rumors as of late. It's primarily due to his lack of fourth-quarter minutes in the past few games. However, Hassan Whiteside expressed that he's not frustrated by head coach Erik Spoelstra's decision of sending him to the bench in the fourth quarter. Per David Furones of the Sun Sentinel:

“I’m not getting frustrated,” Whiteside said. “Coach is going to make the best decision, and the organization’s got Spo’s back. I trust him. That’s all I can do. I can only control what I can control, try and do my job.”

After the Lakers, Whiteside's next opportunity will be on Wednesday as the Heat will head to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Jazz.
