Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside will rejoin the team on Friday in Memphis against the Grizzlies, according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.

Hassan Whiteside has missed the last four games due to the birth of his son.

The Heat enter Wednesday with a record of 11-15, ninth place in the Eastern Conference.

Hassan Whiteside is averaging 13.5 points and 13.7 rebounds per game this season for the Heat while shooting 52.3 percent from the floor. Miami has three games left on its current West Coast road trip. So far, they have gone 2-1, with wins over the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers. Miami lost to LeBron James and the Lakers in the previous game.

The Heat take on Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz Wednesday night.

Whiteside's name came up in trade rumors this past summer after he had a disappointing 2018 playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers. The 29-year-old totaled just 26 points, 30 rebounds and six blocks in the five-game playoff series against the Sixers, and he wasn't happy with his minutes.

The Heat probably wouldn't mind trading Whiteside right now, but they are going to have a hard time finding a market for him. Whiteside is owed $24.4 million and $27.1 million in the final two years of his contract.
