Jimmy Butler says the Miami Heat still have room for improvement after heading into the All-Star break with a 35-19 record.

Butler claims the Heat are really good, but not where they want to be just yet:

“We're not a bad team, but we're not where we want to be at, just yet,” Butler said, via the Sun-Sentinel.

“That's OK. I think moving forward we just continue to get better and figure out a way to win games, especially on the road. I’m excited for where our teams is, to tell you the truth, because we’re only going to get better. Everybody cares and everybody wants to win. I think that’s a mentality that you have to have to do something special. I’m happy with this group. I think everybody’s happy with this group.”

The Heat are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Butler and Bam Adebayo are playing in the All-Star Game on Sunday, Kendrick Nunn played in the Rising Stars Game on Friday, Duncan Robinson will compete in the 3-point contest and Derrick Jones Jr. will try and win the Dunk Contest on his birthday.

So, you can see why the Heat have been so good this season. They have a player participating in every event during All-Star weekend. Not bad.

In his first season with the Heat, Butler is averaging 20.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.1 assists. He's shooting 45.7 percent from the field, 24.8 percent from beyond the arc and 83.6 percent from the free-throw line.
