The Miami Heat made quite a splash on Wednesday night by acquiring three-time NBA champion Andre Iguodala from the Memphis Grizzlies. The arrival of the 16-year veteran in South Beach certainly has the entire Heat fan base excited, and Miami superstar Jimmy Butler is also pumped.

Speaking to the media following his team's 128-111 defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers, Butler was a picture of extreme confidence, saying the Iguodala trade just took the Heat to a whole new level:

After refusing to play for the Grizzlies the entire season, Iguodala finally got his wish of being traded to a contender. For the Heat, the acquisition of the 36-year-old adds a tried and tested veteran to their young squad, and he brings plenty of championship experience to the table.

The bad news for the Heat, however, is that Butler tweaked his shoulder against the Clippers. The five-time All-Star exited in the third quarter and would not return. Initial reports suggest that it is not something overly serious, but Butler will require an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.

Even if this injury forces Butler to the sidelines, though, he should be able to return sooner rather than later. Once Miami is in full force, they will be contenders in the Eastern Conference. This recent move is an indication that the front office wants to win now, and as Butler said above, the Heat now appear to be ready to mount a serious challenge for the title, especially if they also add Danilo Gallinari as planned.
