Jimmy Butler knows what he has to do for the Miami Heat to be successful.

After fans were introduced to “Playoff Jimmy” in Game 1 of their second-round matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks (where Butler exploded for 40 points), the Heat star had a rather quiet night on Wednesday and was limited to just 13 points. Even with his subpar game though Miami still ended up with the 116-114 win to take a 2-0 lead.

With that said, Butler took the opportunity after the game to silence his critics:

“I've said it time and time again, we truly do not care what other people say.” Butler said, per NBA TV. “We stay focused on what we can, control what we can – we're not looking at it liek we're up 2-0.”

Jimmy Butler did end up winning the game for the Heat as he was fouled by Giannis Antetokounmpo on a last-second jump shot. He ultimately converted the go-ahead free throws for Miami.

To their defense, the Bucks were successful in limiting Butler's productivity on Wednesday night

“We have a team full of guys who aren't afraid to take and make shots,” the Heat star added. “I don't need to be a 40-point per night scorer. That's not my role here.”

As Butler puts it, he didn't have to drop 40 in Game 2 for the Heat to come up on top. Miami had all the answers on Wednesday for the Bucks' highly touted defense, as seven Miami players scored double digits led by Goran Dragic's 23-point performance.

The Heat offense has been rolling thus far after they won their first six outings in the postseason. Will the Heat go 7-0 in the playoffs? Game 3 tips off on Friday.
