Miami Heat All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler won't play against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday due to personal reasons, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel.

The Heat are retiring Dwyane Wade's No. 3 jersey at halftime:

A personal situation is expected to keep Miami Heat Jimmy Butler out of Saturday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at AmericanAirlines Arena, an NBA source told the Sun Sentinel.

Butler also missed Friday night's Heat tribute to Dwyane Wade at AmericanAirlines Arena, with Butler having previously been scheduled to appear in a segment of that tribute as part of the weekend's retirement of Wade's No. 3 jersey.

Butler's time away from the team is not injury related, the source said. Butler remains in South Florida, according to the source, with an initial expectation that he will be able to travel for the game in Cleveland, as the situation remains fluid.

The Heat are 35-20 on the season. They are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

In his first season with the Heat, Butler is averaging 20.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists while shooting 45.3 percent from the field, 24.6 percent from beyond the arc and 83.6 percent from the free-throw line.
