Miami Heat fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as it seems that Jimmy Butler's ankle injury isn't as bad as it seemed.

Although the 31-year old was still able to play despite the injured ankle, he sure didn't look quite himself out there as he watched and endured a blowout beating from the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of their NBA Finals series.

Butler cleared the air after the game and said that his ankle should be fine and ready to roll. No pun intended.

“A little bit sore. I'll be ok with some treatment. I gotta be ready to go. We'll see how it feels tomorrow, but I'll be fine,” the Heat star said postgame, per Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

Jimmy Butler finished the game with 23 points, two rebounds, five assists and two steals. He also shot 8-of-13 from the field as he led the Heat in scoring.

Unfortunately, he failed to make his impact felt, as he ended up with a minus-14 rating in the plus-minus box score.

Sure enough, it did not help Miami that it wasn't just Butler who suffered an injury on Wednesday. Both Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic had to sit out the second half and finish the game in the locker room.

Adebayo injured his shoulder in the third quarter and was officially listed out with a left shoulder strain. Dragic, on the other hand, seemed to have suffered a serious non-contact foot injury — prompting fears that he will at least miss multiple games in the series.
