Jimmy Butler suffered a shoulder injury during the Miami Heat's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night, resulting in the star exiting after just 11 minutes.

The good news is that Butler's MRI came back clean. But Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters that he does not know if he will play again in any of the Heat's final five games of their current six-game road trip, according to Andre Fernandez of The Athletic.

In 44 games this season, Butler is averaging 20.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.8 steals over 34.5 minutes per game while shooting 45.2 percent from the floor, 25.5 percent from three-point range and 83.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Heat acquired Butler in a sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers over the summer.

While he has struggled shooting from the perimeter, Butler has elevated Miami into the upper echelon of Eastern Conference teams, as the Heat are currently 34-16 and sit in fourth place in the standings.

Butler also earned his fifth All-Star selection for his efforts this season.

The 30-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at Marquette, was originally selected by the Chicago Bulls in the first round (32nd pick overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft.

He played only scarcely during his first season, but by his second year, Butler had developed into a crucial bench piece for the Bulls, and in his fourth season, he made his first All-Star team after registering 20 points per game.

Butler proceeded to make four straight All-Star appearances between 2015 and 2018, three of them coming with Chicago and one coming with the Minnesota Timberwolves after Butler was traded during the summer of 2017.

However, Butler spent just one year and change in Minnesota before being dealt to the 76ers in November 2018.
