Miami Heat point guard Kendrick Nunn has scored 504 points over the first 31 games of his rookie season, becoming the fastest rookie to reach 500 points in franchise history.

Heat legend Dwyane Wade reached 500 points in his 32nd career game:

Kendrick Nunn has been a great story for the Heat. He went undrafted in the 2018 draft. Nunn signed a contract with the Golden State Warriors on July 13, 2018, but was waived by the Dubs on October 12, 2018.

The Heat signed Nunn to a multiyear deal on April 10, 2019. He’s now the starting point guard in Miami and has been turning heads left and right with his stellar play.

Nunn is averaging 16.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game for the Heat while shooting 45.1 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from beyond the arc and 78.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Heat, after defeating the Indiana Pacers at home on Friday night, are 23-8 on the season. They have the third-best record in the Eastern Conference and appear primed to go on a deep playoff run with Jimmy Butler leading the way.

The Heat are back in action on Saturday, as they host Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. They defeated the Sixers in their last matchup behind 26 points from Nunn. Miami snapped Philadelphia’s 14-game home winning streak.
