The Miami Heat made a huge splash acquiring Toronto Raptors icon Kyle Lowry in the offseason. Even before the team's first game, Lowry revealed one player who's already left him impressed – Tyler Herro.

Lowry spoke effusively about what he's seen from the Heat's incoming third-year guard, via Miami Herald's Anthony Chiang.

“Tyler is the one guy that has been extremely impressive,” Heat newcomer Kyle Lowry said. “He had been playing his butt off. He’s one guy that has been truly impressive to me.”

Much was expected of Herro last season after balling out like crazy for the Heat during their NBA Finals run in the bubble. The weight of expectation might have been too much for him entering just his sophomore season in the league. But by all accounts, Herro has been working to make his sophomore slump a distant memory.

Even Erik Spoelstra heaped praise on the development of Tyler Herro. The longtime Heat coach sees first-hand the work that his young guard puts in to get better.

“He has really improved all across the board,” Spoelstra said. “His skill level is extremely high. He has really worked at it. This is a league that’s becoming a league of skill and he’s developing into one of the most skilled players in this league. You can see he gets where he needs to get. He can get to different levels on the floor. So, it’s a very good start for him.”

The Miami Heat are one of the dark horse contenders entering next season. They'll need Tyler Herro to live up to his potential if they want to truly make some noise next season.
