Longtime Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade has a decision to make.

On the one hand, he could return to the Miami Heat, the place he has spent the majority of his NBA career. After spending a couple of years away from the Heat, he was happy when he returned last season.

On the other hand, he has an offer from a basketball team overseas that wants his services. The contract offer is presumably more than he would make in the NBA this season, seeing as how he is a free agent and is approaching his late 30s.

But time is running out for Wade to decide what his next move will be. But according to Shandel Richardson of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Heat president Pat Riley is giving Wade more time to make that decision.

Riley even gave a timeline to when he expects not only Wade, but also Heat veteran Udonis Haslem, to decide what their future will be with the franchise, per Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald.

Wade has reportedly said that if he does not play for the Heat this season, he will retire. Does that mean there is absolutely no chance he takes that other contract overseas? Not necessarily. Anything can happen in the NBA, and that much as been proven time and time again.

But Dwyane Wade does have his whole life Miami, and it would difficult to imagine him uprooting his whole family at this stage of his life and career. It seems there is a good chance Wade will not be in the NBA next year.
