The Miami Heat brought back one of their favorite sons on Thursday afternoon when they traded a second-round pick in 2024 and in return got back Dwyane Wade.

It appears the fans of the Heat in Miami, and all over the world are really excited that Wade will be putting back on the red and black.

According to Darren Rovell, an ESPN sports business reporter:

“Heat put Dwyane Wade jerseys on sale at 5pm yesterday. Received orders from more than 100 countries in 15 hours. Team merchandise sales are up 8000% from the previous two days.”

It also sounds like the Heat are busy trying to make enough jerseys to be on hand for the fans when he makes his return with the Heat on Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Manny Navarro and Andre C. Fernandez of the Miami Herald report:

“We’ve been working through the night making jerseys,” said Eddie Abad, senior manager of retail operations at the Miami Heat Store inside AmericanAirlines Arena. “And we’ll have them ready when the doors open up tonight at 6:30 p.m.”

Wade, along with his wife Gabrielle Union posted a video on Twitter talking about his feelings.

In the video started off by thanking the Cavaliers for the half of a season that he played with them. He thanked the fans of Heat and the organization for having him back with open arms. He then ended the video by saying,

“I can't wait to get this thing going. Let's go Heat!”

It will be interesting to see what kind of role he has with the Heat, and how much impact he has on the team, but for now, it seems everything is perfect in South Beach.
