The Miami Heat landed Andre Iguodala in the biggest trade transaction to date. But according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Heat are still working on a three-team deal with the Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder to add Danilo Gallinari to their roster.

According to Wojnarowski, talks could extend into Thursday — the trade deadline.

In addition, the Thunder are looking to get the Heat to lift the protections on a 2023 first-round pick.

Iguodala, a three-time champion and one-time Finals MVP, is expected to turn the Heat team into a legitimate title contender. With Iguodala in the fold, the Heat now have a veteran with enormous regular season and playoff experience. This will be key if the Erik Spoelstra-led squad head deeper into the playoffs.

The Heat have been tagged as one of the over performers of this season. Jimmy Butler continues to show why he's an All-Star in this league while Bam Abedayo has emerged into one of the fastest rising stars today. As of this writing, they sport a 34-15 record and have won seven of the last 10 games.

From the looks of it, Heat president Pat Riley is in the process of creating a powerhouse squad. Iguodala's deal with them is a two-year $30 million extension with a team option in the 2021-22 season. Through this, the Heat have enough flexibility to recruit a max caliber player.

The aggressive moves by Riley signify that he has confidence in the scrappy Heat squad. The little details of the deals, meanwhile, reveal that Riley is looking to lock in the future as well.
