Miami Heat legend and president Pat Riley has never been one to pull punches when addressing the media. Friday was no different as Riley, 75, gave his end-of-season address after an incredible run to the NBA Finals.

Riley thinks the future is bright in Miami:

“We ended up having a great, great season,” Riley said, via Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press. “
I feel so good about this team and where we're going and what's ahead of us. And contrary to what a lot of people think, the cupboard is more full than ever.”

The cup does indeed runneth over for a Heat squad that few expected to reach the NBA Finals. Coming into the playoffs as the fifth seed, many saw them beating the Indiana Pacers but then falling short against the Milwaukee Bucks, though there were some experts who saw a possible upset because of the matchup.

Jimmy Butler made it known right away that the Heat were there to stay, spearheading his team with his dynamic two-way play. Butler got plenty of help from the likes of Bam Adebayo, Goran Dragic, Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson and others.

Miami has been mentioned in rumors for numerous stars in the upcoming few years, including Giannis Antetokounmpo and Victor Oladipo. Riley's reputation speaks for itself, which is why many expect the Heat to add another star to play alongside Butler and Bam.

Riley is always looking out for that next move to get to the next level:

Riley has also stated that despite his age, he has no plans to leave anytime soon:

The Heat should be formidable for years to come.
