Miami Heat team president Pat Riley is one with the multitude of NBA fans buoyed by Dwyane Wade's recent decision to return for one final season.

Speaking in behalf of the entire Heat organization, Riley shared how he felt about Wade's “last dance.”

“We are very delighted that Dwyane decided to return,” said Riley in an official team statement, via NBA.com.

Riley went on to say that this is not only going to be a sentimental farewell tour, but that Wade still figures in the team's plans this season.

“I believe that Dwyane can play a big part in us winning, that’s what he is all about,” he added. “I’m glad he’s back.”

Riley and Wade have a long-standing relationship. Riley has been with the Heat organization since 1995, and it was actually he who drafted a 22-year-old Wade as the fifth overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.

Wade quickly became Riley's prized possession. The duo bagged the Heat's first ever championship in franchise history back in 2006. In fact, during that season, Riley actually took over head coaching duties (from ex-coach Stan Van Gundy), which proved to be a championship-winning decision.

Riley and Wade went on to win two more titles in back-to-back fashion in 2012 and 2013. This was, of course, during the LeBron James and the Big 3 era.

After spending a season and a half away from home, Wade made his return to Miami via trade last season. As he recently announced, Wade will be making one final run this term before the curtains are finally drawn on his illustrious 16-year career.
