The Miami Heat will be without the services of Tyler Johnson for Tuesday night's home game against the Brooklyn Nets due to a hamstring injury, according to an official report from the team.

Johnson, now 26 years of age, is an important piece of Miami's rotation. In his 16 appearances with the Heat this season, the crafty guard has racked up averages of 11.4 points on 43.5 percent shooting from the field (32.4 percent from beyond the arc), 3.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and a steal in 27.2 minutes per outing.

The loss of Johnson is rather substantial for the Heat, who will also be without the services of Goran Dragic (knee) and Dion Waiters (ankle). With so many ball-handlers out of commission, Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra will likely call on Josh Richardson to run the team's offense. Rodney McGruder could see some time at the point as well.

There is a bit of good news on the Miami horizon, though. Dwyane Wade, who has said this is his final NBA season, has missed seven straight games while on extended paternity leave. He's back, and the former Marquette Golden Eagle is expected to play in Tuesday's matchup against the Nets. The Heat were planning on easing Wade back into substantial minutes, but it looks like he might have to play more than expected.

Tuesday night's Heat-Nets game is slated to tip inside AmericanAirlines Arena at 7:30 p.m. EST.
