Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem had a not-so-brief message for his critics and haters who think he's bound to retire after recording his second-lowest total minutes since breaking into the NBA.

The franchise staple appeared in only 10 games and played only 74 minutes throughout the entire 2018-19 season, yet wouldn't commit to returning nor calling it quits after 16 seasons like draftmate Dwyane Wade did before this past season:

This comes right after Haslem said he still wants to be a mentor for the younger players on the team, hinting at his desire to keep playing.

Haslem has mostly been an honorary member of this team more than an active one, yet the Heat have been willing to bring him back due to the values he brings to the organization.

Miami held two roster spots open for Haslem and Wade last season, though it is unknown if they'd be willing to hold a spot for Haslem again without Wade joining along as a package deal. There have been suggestions that they will do it, but nothing is set in stone.

The Heat will be forced to rebuild around Josh Richardson, Justise Winslow, Bam Adebayo and other cogs, and as much as Haslem can help out with veteran guidance, his body has proven unable to bring those contributions to the court.
