Udonis Haslem has never played with a different team in his entire NBA career and it appears that won't change. The 41-year-old has signed a one-year deal worth the veteran's minimum with the Miami Heat as he returns for his 19th season.

Haslem's role over the last few years with the Heat has been limited. In 2020/21, he played just one game. Funny enough, he got ejected after getting into a scuffle with Dwight Howard.

Haslem will be the oldest active player in the NBA next season at 41, but he won't likely play a whole lot for the Heat. His veteran presence and leadership are huge to a young Miami team though, giving Erik Spoelstra a player-coach who can offer expertise.

The Heat will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing first-round exit in the 2021 playoffs, where they were swept by the Milwaukee Bucks. Free Agency was a clear win for the team though after acquiring Kyle Lowry from the Toronto Raptors, who is a close friend of franchise star Jimmy Butler. They also re-signed Victor Oladipo and brought in reigning NBA champion P. J. Tucker on a one-year deal, giving the Heat another defensive stopper.

Next season has big year written all over it and Udonis Haslem will be there every step of the way to support his squad.
