The Miami Heat are 28-16 this season despite a number of health issues, and they're looking like a legitimate title contender in a crowded Eastern Conference. With the Heat in position to make some noise, don't be surprised if Pat Riley is aggressive in an attempt to upgrade the roster at the trade deadline.

One surprising Heat player who could be on the trade block is Duncan Robinson, according to Matt Moore of The Action Network. Moore reports “a belief around the league that Robinson is a player Miami is open to talks about.”

Miami gave Robinson a five-year, $90 million contract this past offseason after he established himself as one of the top 3-point shooters in the NBA the last two seasons. However, Robinson's shooting numbers have fallen off a cliff this season. He's currently shooting 38.3% from the field and 34.8% from 3-point range.

Robinson's playing time has dipped of late, with Max Strus getting more of an opportunity. The DePaul product has stepped up in a big way in his third season, averaging 11.5 points while shooting 41.4% from 3-point range on over six attempts per game.

You can never have enough shooting, especially considering Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo aren't shooters, while Kyle Lowry is having a down season from 3-point range. Miami's 3-point shooting has played a key role in them staying near the top of the Eastern Conference standings despite so many key health problems.

Still, if Robinson doesn't turn things around, perhaps the Heat will look to get off that big contract and move him elsewhere. While it may feel unlikely right now, this kind of trade needs to be monitored as we get closer to the deadline.
