The Miami Heat could reportedly draw Jimmy Butler's interest in the sign-and-trade market, according to Zach Lowe of ESPN.

Butler has been linked to the Heat before. Miami doesn't have the cap space to sign Butler, who becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. However, if Butler tells the Philadelphia 76ers he's not going to re-sign with them and wants to join the Heat, Miami and Philly could execute a sign-and-trade where Butler gets his money from the Sixers and Philly gets something in return for the four-time All-Star.

There has been talk the Houston Rockets and Sixers could complete a sign-and-trade for Butler once free agency starts on June 30.

The Heat could draw Butler's interest in the sign-and-trade market, sources say. (Houston, of course, has very loudly entered that market. Scoff if you want, but the last time Daryl Morey boasted of his capped-out team having something “up its sleeve,” he pulled out Chris Paul.)

Butler averaged 18.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists this past season with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Sixers. The 29-year-old Texas native shot 46.2 percent from the field, 34.7 percent from beyond the arc and 85.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Heat tried to acquire Butler at the beginning of the 2018-19 season after Butler requested a trade from the Timberwolves. Miami president Pat Riley and head coach Erik Spoelstra are said to be big fans of Butler.
