As unlikely as it seemed when the NBA season resumed, the Miami Heat are now two games away from the NBA Finals. While Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo received the most praise for their clutch performances, there is another player who is quietly and consistently leading the Heat when others do not.

On the daily Locked On Heat Podcast, host David Ramil explained why Goran Dragic is the unsung hero for the Heat and a big reason they’re two wins away from the NBA Finals.

David Ramil: Meanwhile in the fourth quarter, Goran Dragic dominated (by) himself, shooting three of six overall, (scoring) nine of his 25 points. A great performance from him. We haven't said enough about gone because his points seem to come quietly, consistently might be the wrong the right word for it, he just he seems to find a way to keep score again. Another 20 point game from him. When Jimmy continues to score, when Bam doesn't have that level production, it seems like you always get it from Goran. He might not always be as effective, but in the fourth quarter, it was exactly what Miami need to help seal the win. Another great performance from him; 10 of 19 overall, three of seven from three point range, knocking in three rebounds and five assists to go along with those 25 points. The unsung hero of the game and again a great closer to have alongside Jimmy Butler who you know can dominate, slow the pace down, and control the game. To have Goran out there is such an extra benefit for Miami. And probably a big reason why they'll be able to advance to the Eastern Conference. I'm sorry to the NBA Finals, and just two more wins.
