It's certainly difficult to imagine Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem sporting a different uniform and playing in a new city. However, that could have been a possibility this offseason as the 14-year NBA veteran revealed he considered joining a different team in the East.

A free agent this summer, Haslem re-signed with the Heat for a one-year, veteran's minimum deal back in July. Before that, nonetheless, he admitted he got a call from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

And the 37-year-old didn't deny he thought about signing with the reigning Eastern Conference champions.

“I got an interesting call from Cleveland. My son is out there [as a student and football player] at the University of Toledo in Ohio. It was something to consider,” Haslem told Barry Jackson of Miami Herald.

Udonis Haslem furthered that he never visited Cleveland, but revealed his agent, Leon Rose, had discussions with the Cavs management.

“There might have been some conversations there,” he added.

It would have been a chance for Haslem to re-join LeBron James and perhaps contend for another ring as he nears the end of his career. Not to mention it would have been a different kind of reunion for Haslem and Dwyane Wade, who recently signed with the Cavs.

Ultimately, however, the Miami native chose to stay in his hometown where he will likely continue to provide his valuable locker room presence and mentor the team's young guns.
