Miami Heat forward Derrick Jones Jr. is one of the best dunkers in the NBA.

Memphis Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas found that out the hard way on Wednesday.

Down in South Beach, Jones posterized Valanciunas during the Heat-Grizzlies game. Take a look:

Jones can flat out jump out of the gym. The Heat, who played without star Jimmy Butler on Wednesday, are looking for Jones to expand his game this season and become more than just a high-flyer who dunks the ball.

Last season for the Heat, Jones appeared in 60 games. He averaged 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from beyond the arc and 60.7 percent from the free-throw line.
