Miami Heat swingman Duncan Robinson displayed an absurdly quick shooting release during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals on Thursday night.

Robinson started 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in the first quarter, including this “hot potato” release from the corner.

The 25-year-old has been perhaps the best shooter in the league this season.

Duncan Robinson shot 44.6 percent from beyond the arc on 8.3 attempts per game during the regular season. He has been slightly less efficient in the playoffs, but was still making threes at a 38.2 percent clip ahead of Thursday's game.

Not to mention, Robinson's movement and ability to hunt shots coming off screens has made him a top offensive threat for the Heat. Robinson is as active as guys like J.J. Redick and former NBA All-Star Richard Hamilton, constantly running his defenders around picks and freeing up space to get off quick jumpers like the one above.

Robinson's ability to knock down triples looms especially large against the Celtics, a team that has defended the three especially well in the playoffs. He also gives the Heat another floor-spacer and opens up the paint for straight-line drives from Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

Still, Miami has struggled even in spite of Duncan Robinson's hot start. The Heat trailed by 13 points a little over midway through the second quarter.
