The Philadelphia 76ers certainly know how to honor a legend.

Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat visited Wells Fargo Center on Thursday for the future Hall of Famer's final stop in Philadelphia on his way toward retirement.

Rather than dispense with the normal ceremony of in-game cheers upon his insertion to the game and a post-game jersey swap with a prominent player, though, the Sixers and their fans went one step further, playing a tribute video of Wade that resulted in a standing ovation from the crowd.

Awesome.

The 16-year veteran announced before 2018-19 that this season would be his last in the NBA. Wade has proceeded to embark on a farewell tour he and the Heat are playfully calling #OneLastDance.

Wade has played better than most anyone could have anticipated during his NBA swan song. He’s averaging 13.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in 25.5 minutes per game while exclusively coming off the bench for the first time in his career.

The 37-year-old has frequently been Miami's go-to option in crunch time, too, successfully utilizing an old-man game of fakes, scoops, bumps, floaters, and step-backs to give his team a fighting chance late.

The Heat enter Thursday's action at 26-30, tied with the Detroit Pistons for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
