Dwyane Wade, one of the greatest shooting guards of all-time and a three-time NBA champion, will sail into the sunset this offseason after the Miami Heat (hopefully) make the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
After a recent win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Wade stayed long after the game to sign what looked to be a sea of jerseys, shoes, basketballs and various other bits of basketball paraphernalia.
One fan, in particular, was immensely hyped to get D-Wade’s autograph. However, his reason behind it was more special, and it seemed to pique Wade’s interest as well.

As the fan clearly says in the video, “he named his child after Wade” because Wade is his idol. Wade takes it in stride, but him sticking around after a game to sign autographs means a lot to these fans. It also shows just how special of a player and talent he has been to this game and this league.
These players are true heroes to many NBA fans worldwide of all ages, and Dwyane Wade is clearly touched by this fan’s earnestness, as he daps him up quickly before moving on to sign an avalanche of jerseys beyond him.
Just looking at this scene makes one think that the life of an NBA superstar might not be the most glamorous, but as he did in his prime, D-Wade makes it look easy.
Once this season is over, we will no longer have scenes like this involving The Flash, but for the fan in this video, Wade’s farewell tour will be one to remember.
