Jerry Jeudy gets most of the attention, but let's not forget the other elite talent on Alabama. Henry Ruggs III would be the No. 1 receiver on any other team in the nation. He will be selected in the first round along with Jeudy. Could he end up in Carolina with the Panthers?

Ruggs burst onto the scene during his sophomore season where he hauled in 46 catches for 721 yards and 11 touchdowns. His productivity has only improved in 2019. Ruggs is averaging 19.1 yards per reception this season with six touchdowns. His breakout games came over the stretch of two weeks where he caught 10 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns.

The main attraction to Ruggs is his speed. He is the fastest player on Alabama and might be the fastest player in the nation. Ruggs is a big play waiting to happen because of his burst and acceleration. Parlayed with speed is his strong route running and hands.

Ruggs is not the polished receiver that Jeudy is, but he is pretty close. While Jeudy is on the cusp of the top-five, Ruggs will land mid-first round.

Panthers Get New Lethal Weapon?

The Panthers have one of the best offensive weapons in the league in Christian McCaffrey. He finished third in the league last season in touches and currently leads the league for 2019 with 289. Giving the Panthers another weapon could take some pressure off McCaffrey to carry this offense.

D.J. Moore leads Carolina in receiving, but he has just three touchdowns on the season. McCaffrey comes in second followed by tight end Greg Olsen. The Panthers' No. 2 receiver based off statistics is Curtis Samuel. He has 39 catches on the season.

The Panthers have elected to go with young quarterback Kyle Allen. It is uncertain if he is the future in Carolina. Either way, the Panthers could use another offensive weapon to help their quarterback.

Speed cannot be taught. Ruggs has the one intangible that can take a receiver from good to great. If the Panthers could land Ruggs, they would build one of the best, young cores at receiver paired with Moore and Samuel. This draft class is full of can't miss wide receiver prospects and Ruggs is certainly on that list.

With Olsen most likely retiring either after this season or next and McCaffrey being used at a high rate, the Panthers will need to replenish their offense. Ruggs is an extremely attractive option in the middle of the first-round to keep an eye on for the Panthers.
