The Game Awards 2020 (TGA 2020) is one of the most anticipated events in the video game industry. It's an annual awards night with hype rivaling even that of E3's. This year's version of TGA is going to be special, being the first-ever virtual event for the show. Small soundstages in three different locations around the world: in Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo, with the event being livestreamed across 45 different platforms.

This year sees The Last Of Us II being nominated in ten categories, the most amongst all nominated. Finally, Team Secret was nominated as Esports Team of the Year, alongside world champions DAMWON Gaming, among others.

TGA 2020 will be held on December 10, 2020. Voting will be based on two factors: the jury and the fans. Fan voting can be done through Facebook and Twitter, which then weighs in 10% of the final score. The jury then comprises 90% of the score for the awards.
