Honkai Impact 3rd PC players no longer have to wait long before they can continue playing on update days. With the new and improved PC Launcher for Honkai Impact 3rd, preloading is finally an option. No need to wait for long, you can continue playing while pre-loading. As long as you have a good enough internet connection, that is.
The official Facebook page of Honkai Impact 3 announced the update. Coming alongside version 4.8, the new launcher will allow players to pre-load the game. Those with a good enough internet connection can continue playing the game while pre-loading. However, note that by doing so, you can experience a couple of connection and game issues. You can download the new launcher here.
Be wary of downloading the new launcher if you're not sure about what version your current build is in. The post warns:
“If you have already installed the v4.7 PC launcher, do not click the “Download” button. You should preload v4.8 by locating the installation directory of the v4.7 PC launcher under Settings (in the upper right corner of the panel) > General Settings> Find Game. Clicking the “Download” button will redownload the v4.7 PC launcher installer. Ai-chan advises Captains to download with a stable connection or update the PC launcher to v4.8 directly after its release.”
Now, this is a great new feature especially since we'll soon get a collaboration event in Honkai Impact 3rd with Genshin Impact. That's going to be a heavy update for sure. This new feature will help us course through the long download time more easily.
