Indiana Hoosiers star big man Trayce Jackson-Davis has made a big decision on his future, and Hoosiers fans will be excited. Jackson-Davis is pulling his name out of the 2022 NBA Draft and returning to Bloomington.

The 22-year-old took to Twitter with his announcement:

The Hoosiers star declared for the draft earlier this year but maintained his college eligibility. Unfortunately for Jackson-Davis, he didn't participate in the NBA Draft Combine after reports that he tested positive for COVID-19. Unable to do workouts or in-person interviews with teams, he ultimately decided to return to school for his senior season.

The 6-foot-9 Jackson-Davis has been a force since he set foot on campus in Bloomington. He averaged 13.5 points and 8.4 rebounds as a freshman and then raised those averages to 19.1 points and 9.0 rebonds as a sophomore. This past season, the Hoosiers star put up 18.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game while shooting 58.9% from the field. He earned Second-Team All-Big Ten honors for his performance. He was First-Team All-Big Ten as a sophomore.

The Hoosiers returned to the NCAA Tournament this past season for the first time since 2016 under new head coach Mike Woodson. After winning two Big Ten Tournament games to secure a spot in The Big Dance, Indiana won its First Four matchup against Wyoming. Unfortunately, the Hoosiers got blown out by Saint Mary's in their next game.

With Jackson-Davis back in the fold, Indiana is set to be a major threat in the Big Ten next season. Four starters will be back, along with a superb recruiting class. Hoosiers fans should be excited about a potential deep tournament run in 2023.
