Horizon Forbidden West New Game+ allows players to embark on another journey to the Forbidden West with all their skills and equipment. Here is how you can start a New Game+ save in Horizon Forbidden West.
How to Start New Game+ in Horizon Forbidden West
New Game Plus arrived in Horizon Forbidden West with the 1.6 update, which came out on June 6, right after the State of Play announcement. So, to get the New Game+, you will have to update your version of the game with its latest patch. Once you have updated to the latest patch and entered the game with any save, a notification window will show up signifying that New Game+ has been enabled.
New Game Plus is accessible any time after completing Horizon Forbidden West's main game: SPOILERS – after completing Singularity and beating Tilda. After completing the final Main Quest, you'd still be able to go free-roaming the open world, and as such, you can still complete any side quest and find collectibles you haven't collected yet before going for a New Game+. Once you've had enough of the post-game content and want to head to a new game, then you're ready for New Game+.
Unlike other games, you can't start a New Game Plus from the main menu. You instead have to load an existing save that has already finished the main quest. Then, you will find the New Game Plus option at the main hub area in the game. Head back to The Base, head to the large area in the center of The Base, and then interact with a beacon-like metal object near the candles. You should be able to find it as there will be a + icon above it, which you can also track like other quest markers. Going near the beacon will also give you a HUD prompt to hold 🔺 or Y to start New Game +. So, it's not going to be hard to find when you finally want to move on!
With New Game+, you'll be able to carry over your items, but that's going to be balanced by the harder enemies you'll fight in your next run. New weapons will also be obtainable in the shop in New Game +, which are as follows:
- Rain of Sparks – Legendary Warrior Bow
- Iriv’s Downfall – Legendary Sharpshot Bow
- Legacy’s Reach – Legendary Blastsling
- Brawlbreaker -Legendary Boltblaster
- Tears of The Land God – Legendary Hunter Bow
- All Mother’s Blessing – Legendary Warrior Bow
- The Final Chapter- Legendary Shredder Gauntlet
So there will be new equipment to collect in your New Game + save, making sure that there's still new things for you to discover, experience, and enjoy.
