The Charlotte Hornets will get an important rotation player back on Saturday against the Knicks. Miles Bridges is set to return to the lineup after a five-game absence due to a battle with COVID-19:

This is great news for the Hornets as they've struggled to win games lately. The team has lost three straight and has gone just 3-7 in their last 10 after a defeat to the Clippers on Thursday.

Bridges is enjoying a fantastic campaign as one of Charlotte's key offensive contributors, averaging 12.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Prior to going on the shelf, Bridges dropped 20+ points in four of six appearances.

The Hornets are bracing for the Play-In as they currently sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. If James Borrego's squad stays put, they'll likely play the Boston Celtics next week but if Charlotte did drop back, the Wizards could be their opponent.

All in all, it's been a very impressive season for the Hornets. Bridges' presence on the floor will certainly be felt, but unfortunately, Gordon Hayward, one of the superstars of the first unit, has been ruled out for the Play-In. The likes of LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Bridges, and Devonte' Graham will be looked upon to step up as the Hornets eye a playoff run.
