Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker has scored 103 points over his last two games, which is a new franchise record for a two-game span.

The All-Star point guard also joined the ranks of some NBA greats.

Kemba Walker scored a career-high 60 points on Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers in a loss. The elusive guard racked up 43 points Monday evening versus the Boston Celtics in 39 minutes of play, out dueling fellow All-Star guard Kyrie Irving. To make things better, the Hornets actually won this game, defeating the Celtics by a final score of 117-112.

Walker will become a free agent this offseason, in case you didn't know by now. With the way he's been playing this season, Kemba Walker will surely get a max contract in the summer. Whether it will be from the Hornets is unknown, but team owner Michael Jordan appears hell-bent on retaining his dynamic franchise player.

Entering Monday, Walker was averaging 28.7 points and 6.1 assists per game while shooting 45.8 percent from the field, 37.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 85.7 percent from the free-throw line. The 28-year-old is trying to lead his Hornets to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Furthermore, the 43-point explosion puts Kemba Walker atop the NBA's scoring ladder for this season, moving past Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.
