The Charlotte Hornets pulled off an absolute stunner, slaying Stephen Curry and the formidable Golden State Warriors on Sunday night. But if you asked LaMelo Ball, he'll tell you he saw this win coming.

The Hornets star was vocal after the game about feeling upsets were in the air for the Carolina sports teams. LaMelo drew inspiration from the Carolina Panthers, who took also took down the team with the best record in the NFL.

Via Rod Boone:

“Coming in today I felt like we were going to win,” claimed the Hornets guard. “I seen the Panthers, they were playing the Cardinals. And I seen they were like 8-1 or something. I'm like, ‘Dang this kind of lines up.' I feel like we might win too. And we won.”

LaMelo Ball was terrific for the Hornets, tallying 21 points on 8-for-17 shooting to go along with seven rebounds and five assists. But it was a total team effort as he was one of three Hornets 20-point scorers, and among their six men in double-figures.

Don't look now but the Hornets are on a sweet roll in the last three games. They pulled off impressive wins against the New York Knicks at home and the Memphis Grizzlies on the road, before the big game trophy in Stephen Curry's Warriors. They go from the West's best to the East's as they take on the top-seeded Washington Wizards to continue their home stand.
