Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball is one of the more flashy players in the NBA and you can thank his father LaVar Ball for that. As many fans have probably noticed as well, Ball is extremely gifted when it comes to using both hands, whether he's finishing at the rim or dishing out a dime.

The Hornets guard recently sat down with Shams Charania and revealed that LaVar actually changed his dominant hand as a child:

“Pretty much because me and my middle brother, Gelo, we were both born left-handed then our pops changed us. Cause like when we eat at the table, Lonzo and my pops were right-handed so me and Gelo was hitting elbows with them so he just changed all of us so we all right-handed.”

Good job, LaVar. You made an ambidextrous ballplayer. Even LaMelo was injured last season with the Hornets, he was seen chucking up shots left-handed so now, it stands to reason why.

Ball is putting in work in Year Two, averaging 19.9 points, 7.6 boards, and 8.2 rebounds per game on 39% shooting from downtown. Although the Hornets are struggling lately having lost three straight, LaMelo continues to showcase his flair and talent on a nightly basis and we gotta admit, being able to use either hand definitely comes in handy in the Association, that's for sure.
