The Charlotte Hornets welcomed the New Orleans Pelicans to town on Mother's day and the matchup of LaMelo Ball vs Lonzo Ball was the talk of the town. Early in the game, it was LaMelo who stole the show. The youngest Ball brothers showcased his defensive skills- of all things- early in the first quarter with a few crafty plays.

Safe to say the youngest is out to prove that he's better than Lonzo. More than that, he's on a mission to seal his fate as Rookie of the Year and help the Hornets secure a playoff spot and find a way to win the play-in tournament. After LaMelo missed a good number of games with a fractured wrist, it's reassuring to see him out on the floor healthy once again, not just for the Hornets but for the NBA as a whole.

He missed nearly six weeks and is playing in his sixth game since returning. On the year LaMelo is averaging 15.9 points with 5.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists and is the frontrunner for the ROTY award, as long as Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards doesn't pry it away from him.

As the Ball brothers continue to face off, expect to see some fireworks and some friendly words exchanged from the siblings. Will LaMelo Ball or Lonzo be the winner of the matchup? Either way, enjoy watching these two go at.
