Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier got paid a bag of money on Thursday as he received a four-year, $97 million max extension from the organization. His running mate and Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball, quickly reacted to his good buddy getting a huge payday:

Aside from the fact that Melo just used some awful English, he's clearly happy Rozier will be around for the long haul. The two formed a solid duo last season for the Hornets as they took the team to the brink of the playoffs, losing to the Indiana Pacers in the Play-In Tournament.

Rozier had a career year in 2020/21, averaging 20.4 points, 4.4 boards, and 4.2 dimes while shooting 39% from downtown. He also definitely benefited from having such a great playmaker in LaMelo on the floor with him. Ball himself put up 15.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists.

The Hornets might even have another Ball brother on the roster come October after LiAngelo impressed in the NBA Summer League. There has been some noise that he could possibly make the team, but we'll ultimately have to wait and see.

Nonetheless, the Hornets have a solid core intact right now led by LaMelo and Rozier as they look to break their five-year playoff drought next season.
