You could argue that one of the most underrated elements of LeBron James' game is his passing. It looks like Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball doesn't agree with this notion entirely.

Ball was recently asked to rank the best passers in the NBA today, and his response probably won't sit too well with LeBron (h/t gqsports on TikTok):

Unsurprisingly, LaMelo Ball picked… LaMelo Ball.

That's his view of the best passer in the league today. There's no denying that the 19-year-old is as gifted as they come when it comes to dishing out dimes, but to say he's the very best in the NBA right now is contentious, to say the least. Then again, what else would you expect from a dude who is never lacking in confidence?

What is worth noting here is how LaMelo seemed to downplay LeBron's passing abilities. He didn't exactly say anything negative about them, but you could sense from his reaction that he doesn't seem to be too impressed with James' passing game. The four-time NBA champ barely made it into Ball's top three here.

It's also funny how Ball struggled to read Nikola Jokic's name. He later realized it was “The Joker,” so you have to wonder, does he seriously not know who Nikola Jokic is?

The other players on the list were Chris Paul, Trae Young, and Ben Simmons. LaMelo didn't even give them the time of day. As he said at the start of the video, we should expect “LaMelo answers” from him, so in this respect, he absolutely delivered on his promise.
