Not long after the Charlotte Hornets drafted LaMelo Ball as the third overall pick in the recently-concluded 2020 NBA Draft, LaVar Ball is already running his mouth about none other than Hornets team owner Michael Jordan.

Now that he has MJ in his sights, LaVar has decided to rekindle an old flame between himself in the six-time NBA champ. This time around, Ball is saying that he's definitely going to beat Jordan in a game of 1-on-1:

“$200 Million and I win easy,” Ball claimed in a recent appearance on ESPN's The Truth Podcast (around the 46-minute mark). “He’s 57! Have you ever seen anyone 57? Go push him a little bit, then come see the heavy duty big baller! I’m still 280! Mike ain’t 280! He got a little belly and when you smoke cigars… I got enough wind to tear you up if I keep drinking milk and I don’t smoke.”

This is not the first time LaVar has come out with this particular statement. As it turns out, not even the fact that Jordan is now his son's employer is going to stop LaVar from talking smack against the GOAT. To be fair, the Ball family patriarch deserves some credit here for not backtracking on his earlier statement.

Jordan never really gave LaVar Ball the time of day in the past, and we don't see that changing anytime soon. Then again, these two are bound to cross paths sooner or later — if they haven't already — and that could make for an awkward encounter.
